Remembering Ivor and raising money for Prostate Cancer UK

This Race Night is supporting Michelle Calverley’s fundraising effort for Prostate Cancer UK, in memory of her late grandfather Ivor Calverley MBE- a war veteran who served as Chairman of the Eastbourne RAFA Club for many years.

Michelle says: “My Grandpa sadly passed away in June 2016. He died of a heart problem and the return of cancer he had previously. So I have decided to run the Eastbourne Half Marathon raising money for Prostate Cancer UK in his memory.”

A Race Night is a fun and exciting evening with all the fun of a day at the races! Have a small-stakes flutter on a horse from the programme, then cheer it on in a filmed race. All the films are drawn at complete random on the night, so this is a game of pure chance- no odds, studying form or nobbling horses can help you! 

There will be a raffle on the evening, and the  very competitively priced RAFA Club bar will be open. Hot food will be available before the start of the event.
